Louisville Ballet at the Science Center!

The Louisville Science Center has joined with the Louisville Ballet to offer dance classes and health and fitness-themed activities on three upcoming dates, with activities geared to people of all ages and skill levels. The activities are being presented in conjunction with the exhibition Sesame Street Presents: The Body, on display through January 2, 2011, at the Science Center. The unique partnership will allow creative exploration of the exhibition’s themes and the science behind dance.

Sunday, November 14, 1 to 5 p.m. (centered around exhibition theme "Happy Healthy Holidays”)
Members of the Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble will teach dance moves from The Brown-Forman Nutcracker, which is December 4-19 at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. Flamenco dance lessons for children and adults will also be available, taught by faculty from the Louisville Ballet School. Also explore nutrition and healthy recipes for the holiday season. Learn how food choice affects how well the body functions and the importance of proper nutrition. Budding young chefs can also try their hand at quick and easy snacks and take home recipe cards that combine flavors from across the globe.
