One hundred and fifty authentic artifacts from Titanic are now on display at the Louisville Science Center! Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition brings you the experience of a passenger aboard Titanic.
Upon entry, you'll receive a replica boarding pass with information about one of the passengers aboard the Ship, and begin a chronological journey, where you'll learn about the construction of Titanic and become swept into the experience of the grandest Ship to set sail at the time. View china and serving dishes and the menus served that evening, and then walk through a Third Class cabin re-creation. The mood then shifts upon entering the Iceberg Gallery, where you can touch the iceberg and experience how cold it was that fateful night of April 14, 1912.
The journey ends in the Memorial Gallery, where you'll discover the fate of the passenger on your boarding pass. It is in this gallery where personal items connected to particular passengers are displayed, including a marriage certificate, a hairpin, and a pair of shoes.
Round out your Titanic experience with the IMAX film Ghosts of the Abyss, the James Cameron film that uses robotic cameras to go inside Titanic and learn what crews undergo as they unearth items from the wreck site.
