If you're interested in having fun, meeting new people and helping out the Science Center, consider becoming a Science Center volunteer. We welcome teens ages 14 and older, and adults of all ages. Many of our valued volunteers are retirees who are willing to share their time and experience.

VolunTeen Program
Grades 9-12
Note: The application process for the 2012 summer VolunTeen program ended April 30. Opportunities for fall 2012 will be posted in late summer.
Teen volunteers must be in the 9th grade or higher. Teens presently in the 8th grade are eligible for the Summer VolunTeen program. Teen volunteers who have previously participated in the program and who are interested in returning to the program this year needed to have applications in by April 1, 2012. o Science Center volunteers do?
Science Center volunteers work in the exhibit halls, IMAX Theatre and Gift Shop, and greet and assist guests.
Download volunteer job descriptions. Help is needed Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on weekends (morning and afternoon shifts). Occasional evening shifts are available.
As a Science Center volunteer, you will receive:

- 15% off purchases at our Subway restaurant while on duty
- Free admission to Science Center exhibits and IMAX® film previews
- Free admission to a variety of social activities year-round
