Join us as June Scobee Rodgers, Ph.D., Founding Chairman and Director of the Challenger Centers for Space Science Education, and author of the young adult fiction series, Star Challengers, introduces our new science fiction animated IMAX film, Quantum Quest, and shares her thoughts about the use of science fiction to inspire real science learning.  The film features an all-star Hollywood voice over cast with actors from Star Trek and Star Wars, and follows Dave, a young photon, as he surfs through the Solar System on a quest for the Cassini Commander.   What he finds on this coming of age journey is a whole lot more. 

Rodgers will illuminate the power of science fiction, especially when interwoven with real science fact, as depicted by the authentic photographic images from NASA in the film.  She will also discuss how the Challenger Center programs have engaged participants in science immersion through fictional space missions and other simulations, paving the way for discovery and scientific inquiry.

Cost is $5/Members and $8/Non-Members (Children and Adults)
