Splash! has been a popular water play area of KidZone for the past 20 years and, in early 2008, it will undergo complete renovation.
The Science Center recently received a $150,000 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the project and must raise $150,000 in matching funds as a condition of the award. Thanks to generous friends and supporters like you, over $105,000 has already been raised. With your continued support, we can assure smooth sailing for Splash!
Imagine the possibilities: a kinetic system of tumbling water overhead; a series of water troughs in varying heights around the sides of the table for sinking, sailing, spraying and pouring; and a Chain Reaction Grid where children and their caregivers can add wheels, tubing and funnels and watch the water flow. The new exhibit will accommodate a greater number of children of varying heights and age levels and will be accessible to children with special needs.
There is much work to be done, and we need your support to make it possible. To make a tax-deductible donation or for more information, contact the Development Department at (502) 561-6146 or
