Flip It, Fold It, Figure It Out!

Play with math through engaging activities with patterns, shapes and sizes!

Create quilt and tile patterns, experiment with drum beat rhythms, identify three-dimensional mystery shadow shapes, fold origami to see its application to science, explore volume concepts using containers of different shapes and sizes, and play with reflective symmetry.

Along with interactive exhibits, a collection of objects and images – including blueprints, sneakers and rugs – illustrate how math is used by architects and product designers, craftsmen and scientists to affect our everyday lives.

KIDZONE

KidZone is designed for children ages 7 and younger and their caregivers. Sessions are 45 minutes, and tickets are free with paid Science Center admission. Asterisks denote Members-Only Mornings. Sessions:
