 GENERAL INFORMATION
The Science Center offers three floors of interactive exhibits, IMAX Theatre space, classrooms and the Riverview Room, which overlooks the Ohio River.

Facility rentals include only the areas specified in the individual rental contract. All rentals are for a four-hour period.
Guests are encouraged to visit the exhibit halls during regular hours.
Exhibit halls are available for exclusive use after regular operating hours. We offer special demonstrations, programs and activities upon request (additional fees).

Smoke-Free Facility
The Louisville Science Center is a smoke-free building due to the nature of our mission and the audience we serve. Federal laws prohibit smoking in buildings serving school children. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us remain smoke-free. (A smoking area is available just outside our Main Street entrance.)
Alcohol
Alcohol must be brought onto the premises and served by one of our approved caterers. 
Music
Live entertainment and DJs are allowed. Fog machines are not permitted.
Food and Beverages
Food and beverages are not allowed in our exhibit halls or IMAX Theatre.
Decorations
All decorations must be presented to and approved by the Science Center event manager prior to the event. Due to safety reasons, only floating or votive candles may be used.
Equipment
This equipment is available at no additional charge:
- Tables and chairs for 250
- Microphone
- Coat racks
- Trash cans
- Podium
- Limited quantities of 6' banquet and gathering tables
All rental equipment set-up and tear-down must be done by catering staff. LSC is not responsible for manual labor involved with events. All rented items must be removed at the conclusion of the event. The Science Center is not responsible for loss or theft of personal property at any rental event.
Parking
After 4 p.m., parking is free. Before 4 p.m., the following fees apply:
Fund-raising Events
Fund-raising events are permitted only on behalf of the Louisville Science Center. The Science Center's 501©(3) not-for-profit status prohibits rentals to political advocacy groups.
 Private Events Only
The Renter may engage the premises for a private event only. No admission will be charged, nor may tickets be sold on or off the premises, or advertising be placed announcing the event.
At Time of Booking...
There is a one hundred and fifty dollar ($150) refundable damage deposit due at the time of booking, as well as a non-refundable two hundred and fifty dollar ($250) holding fee.
Please Note...
Rental fee is for space use only. Catering, rentals and special AV equipment are additional.

The Entire Louisville Science Center
Exclusive use of the entire facility for up to 3,000 guests.
Package includes three IMAX film presentations (225 guests each), all exhibit areas and the Riverview Room.
