Members-Only Mornings are special back-to-back sessions in KidZone held every Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to noon. All activities are completed 15 minutes before the session ends.

Snowflakes
What do you like to do in the snow? Celebrate this chilly season with us as we make our own snowflakes. Then join us for story time. “Parent helper” scissors are available for little ones who have not quite mastered the skill.

Paint with ice! Made with food coloring and water, these colorful ice cubes will delight your child as he or she makes their own water color painting.

Using contact paper and tissue paper, make a beautiful sun catcher to take home. The shapes give it a mosaic or stained glass look.

Bubble Art
Using food coloring, water and dish soap, your child will transfer colorful bubbles onto paper to create a design. (Careful food coloring can stain clothing!)

Make your own Valentine necklace. Stringing beads is good for classifying similar and dissimilar objects, counting, and pattern making. This activity is an engaging way to exercise your child’s fine motor skills.

T-Shirt Chemistry
Learn an easy and fun way to decorate t-shirts! Bring a t-shirt of your own or use a sample piece to draw designs on with permanent markers. Then have a staff member drip rubbing alcohol on it and watch it grow! Remember to put the t-shirts in the dryer before washing them!

Dental Day
February is dental health month! Your child will learn the importance of brushing his or her teeth everyday and how to care for them, using real toothpaste and toothbrushes to clean large modeled teeth.

Make your own puppet! Your child will make his or her own puppet to take home out of a paper bag and various materials. This activity strengthens fine motor skills and encourages creativity.
