GRADES K-3: OCEAN FRIENDS
Monday: Making Waves
Participate in some cool ocean activities that investigate tide pools, waves and the water cycle!
Tuesday: Sea Life
Many plants and animals rely on the ocean to survive. Learn about some of our favorite fish as we explore ocean
habitats!
Wednesday: Coral
Today we’ll learn about one of the ocean’s most interesting plants... I mean animals... I mean plants... learn the truth
when we discover Coral.
Thursday: Sea Creatures
Today we’ll look at some sea creatures from all over the world and learn about how each survives in a variety of
climates!
Friday: Who uses the Ocean?
Find out why it’s important to study our oceans and learn about what scientists are doing to help conserve them!
GRADES 4-6: VICIOUS FISHES
Monday: “JAWS!”
These sea creatures won’t have any problem showing you their pearly whites. Investigate sharks, piranhas, and
barracudas and find out if they live up to their reputations!
Tuesday: Stingers
Discover how some of the smallest ocean creatures pack the biggest punch when we explore Eels, Stingrays and Sea
Urchins.
Wednesday: Slimy and Strange
Learn about some of our favorite slimy, wiggly and unusual sea creatures like sea worms and jellyfish!
Thursday: Wanna’ Cuttle?
What has two eyes, eight legs and a bad reputation? Today we’ll discover the Octopus and his cousin, the Cuttlefish.
Friday: What’s in a Name?
Find out if the Killer Whale really deserves his name and then learn about the ocean’s most dangerous predator.

deadline is March 16 for week one of camp and March 23 for week two.

8 – 9 a.m. Camper drop-off
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Camp sessions and
exhibit exploration
4 – 5 p.m. Camper pick-up
Cost
Each camp is designed as a five-day experience.
Members: $175/week
Non-Members: $200/week
What to bring
Please make sure your camper has a sack lunch and snack every day.
The Louisville Science Center reserves the right to cancel sessions due to insufficient enrollment. Details of camp policies will be included in your registration packet.
