Directions to the Louisville Science Center

If you are arriving from the north, south or east...
As you are traveling on Interstates 65 or 71, take Interstate 64 West as you near downtown Louisville. Get into the second lane from the right and take the Third Street/River Road exit (#5B). This exit has two lanes and a traffic light at the bottom of the exit ramp. Remain in the left lane of this exit and proceed straight at the light. Turn right onto Main Street. The Science Center is on the right side of the street between Seventh Street and Eighth Street.

If you are arriving from the west...
As you are traveling on Interstate 64 East, take the Ninth Street exit (#4). Get in the left lane and turn left onto Market Street. Turn left again onto Seventh Street and then turn left again onto Main Street. The Science Center is located on the right side of the street between Seventh Street and Eighth Street.

Parking

The Louisville Science Center parking lot is located at the intersection of River Road and Eighth Street. Parking costs are $4 Monday through Friday and $2.50 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Additional parking can be found at the Louisville Slugger Museum parking garage. The entrance to that garage is off Eighth Street, one-half block south of Main Street. The cost of the Louisville Slugger lot is $.75 for the first 30 minutes, $1.25 for the first 60 minutes and $1.25 each additional hour with a maximum daily charge of $6.25.

Buses are welcome to pick up and unload passengers from the front of the building. Bus and van parking is now available free of charge at Slugger Field. A free trolley shuttle to the Louisville Science Center is available daily. Buses MUST display a "Bus Parking Permit" when parking in this area. Bus drivers should ask Science Center greeters for the permit.
